The project used primarily visual media such as photography and map-making in order to produce a multilingual newsletter which could connect with a broad range of Malaysians. An important aspect of the project was its hands-on quality:Activities were designed and coordinated by the Arts-ED facilitators but scheduled and conducted by the children themselves, working in pairs or groups, on foot or on bicycles.
